Despite reports circulating that Kristen Stewart will not be returning to the Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, Universal Pictures, the studio behind the film, cleared the air about the situation and released this statement to Access Hollywood:
“We are exploring options to continue the franchise and no decisions have been made.”
The controversy about the 22-year-old's title role in the blockbuster hit comes after news broke that Kristen had an affair with Rupert Sanders, 41, the film's director.
Kristen has since dropped out of Cali, a project she was set to star in as well as produce because she's so upset her boyfriend of three years Robert Pattinson won't speak to her since learning of the cheating scandal.
“She is so distraught over Rob that she can’t focus on anything but getting him back,” a source said to a news outlet. “She can’t bare to be without Rob. She’s lost all interest in work and the projects that she was so passionate about just two weeks ago. Even though everyone has been pulling for her and trying to encourage her to stay on, the star’s main focus remains on Rob and what she can do to get him back."
While her future in the anticipated follow up to Snow White is unclear, Kristen remains out of the public eye and has not been heard from since she issued a statement apologizing for her fling with Rupert.
