Kristen Stewart was in Chicago today taping The Oprah Winfrey Show and typically knowing her whereabouts is exciting news in itself, but now Kristen has confirmed she’s going On the Road.
While in Chicago, the Twilight star chatted with USA Today and revealed she’s set to star in the film that’s been a long time coming, On the Road, an adaptation from Jack Kerouac’s 1957 novel.
“I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever,” she told the paper. “Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that’s a big deal.”
USA Today reports that Garrett Hedland will play the drifter Dean Moriarity with Kristen playing his young wife. Sam Riley will play his friend, Sal and Walter Salles will direct.
Filming is scheduled to start this summer!
