It’s hard to look at the September cover of Vogue Hommes Japan and not view Lady Gaga as a piece of meat. The singer posed in a bikini made of only raw meat for the new issue and PETA isn’t loving the look.
With nothing more than some strung together meat covering her, Lady Gaga posed for photographer Terry Richardson for the September cover.
Lady Gaga always takes fashion risks that not everyone loves, and this time it affects PETA.
“Oh, Lady Gaga’s job is to do outlandish things, and this certainly qualifies as outlandish because meat is something you want to avoid putting on or in your body,” Ingrid Newkirk, PETA’s president, told the New York Daily News.
But it sounds like they aren’t surprised by Gaga’s style!
The publication previously released images of Lady Gaga in drag, dressed as Jo Calderone, who happens to be interviewed in a new photo spread in the magazine.
Lady Gaga’s male alter ego, Jo, claims to be a friend of the singer as well as her lover.
“I met her at a shoot [photographer] Nick Knight was doing,” Jo told the mag. “She’s f***ing beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, ‘Don’t be baby, you were born this way.’ I took her out after. The rest is private.”
Perez Hilton teased a Tweeted photo of Jo last week. Which Gaga look do you prefer?
