Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" Breaking Records; Fastest-Selling Single on iTunes!

As she is busy working on what has been described as a "life changing" video for her single "Born This Way," Lady Gaga is busy breaking records with her latest smash hit. Little Monsters are such fans of the empowering song, making "Born This Way" the fastest-selling single in the history of the iTunes store.

Today, Apple's iTunes announced, via MTV News, that "Born This Way" is officially the fastest-selling single ever!

It is the first single of her upcoming album with the same name.

iTune shared in a statement that "Born This Way" is #1 in all 23 countries with iTunes stores and sold more than 1 million tracks in only five days.

Gaga's smash single also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, while also becoming the 1,000th song to make the list in 52 years.

"It is a tremendous honor," Gaga told Billboard of the accomplishment. "To be the 1000th no. 1 on Billboard ... I would be silly not to say this is the greatest honor of my career. ... I am so humbled and so honored and overwhelmed by the reception to 'Born This Way.' It has been so life-changing for me as an artist, and between Billboard and the international number ones and the radio numbers. ... I couldn't be more blessed to have the fans that I have."
