Audrina Patridge has called her the “queen” of reality TV and soon, Lauren Conrad will remind everyone why she is reality royalty when her brand new series premieres on MTV early next year. The California girl talked about her new show at VH1’s Save the Music Foundation Gala in NYC on Monday.

When asked why she decided to return to reality TV, The Hills alum explained, “I wanted a private life. I wanted my own personal life and this new show allows me to do that. It made sense for me to come back because I really enjoyed filming. It was just my need to have a life that was just for me so now I get to do both.”

What is LC most excited about for her new show?

“I’m just excited to be back and also to have a little say this time," she shared. "I’m a producer on the project so that’s very exciting for me this time around."

Leaving the drama of The Hills behind, Lauren answered, "No" when asked if any of her former co-stars would be making any appearances.

The new series will allow Hills fans to follow Lauren as she develops her new fashion line, Paper Crown, as well as maintaining her boutique line and her collection for Kohl’s Department Stores.

Now that the spotlight is set on her professional life instead of her personal life, Lauren is anticipating a fresh start.

“It’s fun to do it over again.”
