Legendary '60 Minutes' Newsman Mike Wallace Dies at Age 93

Mike Wallace, the legendary 60 Minutes newsman, passed away over the weekend. He was 93.

During his illustrious career, Mike won 21 Emmy Awards and five Peabody Awards. He won several other awards, including the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award grand prize and television first prize in 1996. In 1991 he was inducated into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame.

Mike dialed back his role on 60 Minutes in 2006 when he announced he was stepping down to become a "correspondent emeritus." He continued to land big interviews; his last one was with accused steroid user Roger Clemens, formerly of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, in 2008.

Mike previously said that wanted to be remembered as "tough but fair." 60 Minutes will air a tribute to their fallen star on April 15.
