Southwest Airlines gave some lip service to L Word star Leisha Hailey recently, escorting her off a flight from Baltimore to St. Louis for kissing her girlfriend on the plane en route to their destination. The actress claims she was discriminated against for being a lesbian.

USA Today reports that other passengers complained to a flight attendant of the smooching. When the plane landed, Southwest crewmembers escorted Leisha off as the discussion around her PDA got "heated."

Leisha isn't taking the offense lightly and has called for her Twitter followers to retaliate against Southwest with a boycott.

In a number of tweets, she wrote: "I have been discriminated against. Since when is showing affection to someone you love illegal? I know plenty of wonderful same sex families I would like to introduce them to. Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don't like us."

Southwest's response was that Leisha was escorted "based solely on behavior and not gender" and that the passengers said her behavior was "excessive."

Director Kevin Smith has also gotten into a tussle in the past with the airline, claiming that they refused to let him fly because he was too fat.
