Lindsay Lohan is reportedly planning to sue Kamofie & Company jewelry store for selling the surveillance tape of her in their store. But the store claims it was “necessary.”
According to TMZ sources, Lindsay is getting ready to sue the jewelry store because she never gave them the right to use her image for profit and met with her lawyers today.
The surveillance video of Lindsay allegedly stealing a necklace from the store reportedly earned Kamofie $40,000 after being sold to Entertainment Tonight for one week.
And after that one week, the tape can then be sold to other outlets, TMZ reports.
But a rep for Kamofie tells TMZ in a statement, “We regret to hear there is trepidation by Miss Lohan in connection with the video. ”
“We hope that everyone understands that this is beyond our control, the flood of the requests to see this video were simply too overwhelming,” the statement continues. “It was truly necessary to put it out.”
