Lindsay Lohan would like Tom Cruise and the world to know that she had absolutely nothing to do with Vanity Fair's investigative article outlining the actor's plans to select wives based on Scientology.
"I just want everyone & @TomCruise to know, that I have/had NO part in the VF story.. Nor has anyone in my life, personal and work related." she Tweeted.
The statement comes right on the heels of a rumor sprouted from the article that Lindsay was on Tom's rolodex of possible wives, and he invited the young actress for a meeting in 2005 to discuss a role in the Mission Impossible franchise.
“Lindsay met with Tom before he met Katie,” the source said. “At first, she was super excited to work with Tom and thought it was about a role in 'Mission Impossible.' It soon became clear that he wasn’t looking for an actress but something very different.”
Needless to say, the romance was cut short before it began, Tom met Katie Holmes and the rest is history.
Funny enough, Katie and Scarlett Johansson both met with Tom around the same time under the same pretenses — Mission Impossible — but it was the Dawson's Creek actress who walked away with a 7-year-marriage.
