It is starting to look like that failed intervention was poorly timed. Reports say Lindsay Lohan is furious with father Michael Lohan for showing up at her home unannounced Friday, and she wants to file for an order of protection.

Michael spoke out Saturday about the incident, clarifying that it was a bid for Lindsay's safety.

"I'm not going to stand for this anymore. She has to get better. I'm not going to watch my daughter die," Michael said. "Her whole team has had it with her. They want her to get treatment."

He might have thought he had a shot in getting through to Lindsay because of a phone call she placed the previous week — in it, Lindsay, having just fought with her mom Dina Lohan, alleged that Dina was on coke. However, Michael secretly recorded the call and passed it on to the media, causing Lindsay to proclaim him "dead" to her and recant the statements she made about her mom.
