After many troubles with both the law and her career, it looks like Lindsay Lohan is finally trying to carve her way onto the comeback trail.

First, she scores a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live for March 3, which surprised many because Lindsay doesn't even have any new projects to promote.

Lindsay will portray the legend in a TV movie for Lifetime called Liz and Dick, reports Access Hollywood. The film will tell the tale of Elizabeth's many marriages to Richard Burton. But there is one condition that came along with this casting: The actress must stay out of trouble!

Lindsay is due back in court for an update on her probation, stemming from a DUI in 2007, on Feb. 22.

Last month, Lindsay was given praise from the Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner for the work she undertook at the Los Angeles County Morgue as part of her sentence for breaking her probation.

"I'm pleased to say she's done it all. Just keep doing what you're doing, you appear to be doing it well," said the judge.

Hopefully Lindsay keep it up and make her way back to having a great career.
