While it's safe to say Amanda Bynes has behaved rather oddly and erratic at times recently, LA Judge Elden Fox doesn't believe she is a threat to the public like the district attorney is arguing.

Over the past few months Amanda has been in a few alleged hit and runs and was suspected of a DUI. As a result, her license has been suspended.

Eonline.com reports the DA requested today that the judge make the actress pay $50,000 in bail so she can continue to remain out of jail until her October 29 trial, and said the hefty bond is needed "for the risk of public safety." The judge saw things differently, however.

He said, "Technically, Ms. Bynes is not in violation of order not to drive without a valid driver's license," so she will not have to pay the bail amount because her last hit-and-run charge took place on August 4 and her license was still valid.

However, he also stated that if Amanda had another incident prior to her October trial date, he would consider making the bail amount higher than the $50,000 and he would be much stricter with the 26-year-old.
