With production underway for season seven of the Real Housewives of New York, fans could expect a lot of changes for the show's premiere – aside from the never-ending drama, of course!
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps gave OKMagazine.com the exclusive scoop on Bethenny Frankel's return, a shocking switch in alliances, and even de Lesseps’ possible new role. (Hint: It involves an apple!).
“Bethenny’s coming back and we’ve been filming together so it’s been interesting,” the reality star dished to OKMagazine.com at an event for her partnership with the Warwick New York Hotel, The Countess: Hostess of New York. “I think the women are still getting used to her because they don’t really know her yet.”
While Frankel continues to get her “toes back in the pond,” de Lesseps knows the former housewife could handle the drama. “I’m very happy she’s back. She’s a survivor. I’m not too worried about her.”
The fan-favorite’s return isn’t the only change viewers could expect from season seven. It’s no secret that de Lesseps and costar Ramona Singer have had a rocky relationship through the years. They even battled it out during the Real Housewives of New York reunion special when de Lesseps told host Andy Cohen, “Ramona has done some pretty hurtful things to me.”
But it looks like the housewives could finally be ready to put the drama behind them in the upcoming season.

“I think you’re going to see a different Ramona,” the Countess explained. “I think you’re going to see a different relationship with her and I. Cause it’s always been tumultuous, we’ve had our moments, but you’re going to see a shift in alliances.”

The housewife may even be mending her relationship with on-again, off-again BFF Sonja Morgan.
“My relationship with Sonja, it’s good,” the reality star dished. “We’re working on it.”
In one of the most jaw-dropping moments of the series (and possibly the franchise!), the Class With The Countess author explains that she couldn't help but laugh "so hard" when Aviva Dresher threw her prosthetic leg on a table during a dinner party.
The first reaction I had was, ‘Oh my God, her dirty shoe is on the table with all the silverware and the food’” she said. “I was laughing at how ridiculous the whole moment was and I just thought it was not necessary.”
With a recurring role on the show, the reality star hinted that fans might see more of the “Money Can’t Buy You Class” singer next season!
“I think I just might be holding an apple this season,” she dished. “Who knows, I’m not counting my apples yet!”
