France's far-right National Front party said it plans to sue Madonna after she showed a video containing an image of its party leader, Marine Le Pen, is shown with a swastika on her forehead. The video played at a Madonna concert Saturday night at the Stade de France. The party has previously expressed its outrage with the image, and warned that it would take action if it wasn't removed. Party spokesperson Alain Vizier said they would sue for "insults."
Since inheriting control of the party from her father, Marine Le Pen has attempted to change the National Front's anti-Semitic image. On Madonna's side? Anti-racism group SOS Racisme, who praised the singer for her "resolutely anti-racist and feminist discourse."
