Critics have been very vocal in saying Lady Gaga's songs sound very similar to Madonna's work. So what does the "Material Girl" think when she listen's to Lady Gaga's hit songs?

“I certainly think she references me a lot in her work. And sometimes I think it’s amusing and flattering and well done,” Madonna tells ABC News in a new interview with Cynthia McFadden.

That's not to say Madonna doesn't think Lady Gaga is "a very talented artist." But, she does see the similarities between their work.

“There’s a lot of ways to look at it," she explained. "I can’t really be annoyed by it… because, obviously, I’ve influenced her.”

Critics say Gaga's "Born This Way" sounds a lot like "Express Yourself" and Madonna tends to agree with them.

“When I heard it on the radio… I said that sounds very familiar,” Madonna said.

So, how does that make her feel?
"It felt reductive.”

When Cynthia asked if that was good or bad, Madonna told her to "look it up" and gave her a smile.
