Mark Ruffalo “Happy” for Sean Penn, Scarlett Johansson

Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson’s May-December relationship has the blessing of his pal Mark Ruffalo.

“I’m very happy for anyone that finds love,” Mark says of the Sean-Scarlett coupling during DeLeon Tequila’s Sympathy For Delicious special screening held Monday in NYC.

What is Sean like as a friend?

“He puts his money where his mouth is,” Mark says of Sean, whom he filmed alongside in the 2006 movie All The King’s Men. “He has the convictions of his beliefs. I think he’s a hell of an actor, and I think it’s pretty admirable that he takes the time to help other people. He catches a lot of crap for it, but that makes it even cooler.”

The actor begins shooting The Avengers with Scarlett on Friday, which is the same day his directorial debut Sympathy For Delicious hits theaters.
