While you're still mourning the rumored loss of Meredith Vieira from the Today show, now you can add Matt Lauer to the list. New reports say Matt is considering resigning as well!
OK! NEWS: MEREDITH VIEIRA PLANNING TO LEAVE NBC'S TODAY LATER THIS YEAR?
It's still just rumors and reports, but Entertainment Tonight and The Insider say a source tells them Matt has told his bosses at NBC that he will be leaving the show when his contract expires on Dec. 31, 2012.
On Wednesday, the Today show released a statement saying, "There seems to be an awful lot of speculation around news anchors these days, and it's not our practice to comment on any of it. Matt Lauer has a long term contract with NBC News and Today."
So that doesn't solve anything.

Instead, there's another rumor to discuss via Entertainment Tonight.
Since Katie Couric is rumored to be leaving CBS and launch a new talk show with former Today executive producer Jeff Zucker, could Matt be joining them?
