The newly engaged singer talked to the magazine about her upcoming nuptials to Liam Hemsworth, how she lives across the street from P. Diddy (and two doors down from her parents), and how the couple's dog, Ziggy, favors her handsome fiancé.
"[Ziggy] doesn't listen to me. She's in love with Liam," she told the magazine. "She loves me when he's gone, but she totally ate my diamonds on purpose. She was pooping them out all morning!"
Speaking of diamonds, the Hannah Montana star swears the engagement ring came as a complete surprise, even though the couple had been "kinda talking about getting engaged.
"I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty, but I usually wear rose gold," she said of the 19th-century, 18-karat gold Neil Lane engagement ring. "I just love that it's old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear."
While the pair's many of fans may wonder when the duo will swap vows, Miley's in no hurry to become Mrs. Hemsworth.
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with," she said. "I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement."
