Uh Oh! Miranda Lambert And Blake Shelton Can't Agree On When To Have a Baby

Miranda Lambert must have gotten a shock when she turned in to watch her hubby, Blake Shelton, on The Ellen Degeneres Show on September 8. Ellen’s casual question as to whether Blake and Miranda planned to have kids was met with a blunt answer: “Ah... no,” admitted The Voice star.

And all of a sudden the private drama of country’s first couple became uncomfortably public. "Blake knows how important being a mom is to Miranda, but he just put that out there on national TV!" says a friend. "Miranda told him, 'Couldn't you just have just said, we'll see?"

The conflict between the couple, who have been married for three years, is turning serious, especially for Miranda, 30, who is eager to start a family but can’t convince Blake, 38.

Miranda, who is watching with envy as her close friend Carrie Underwood prepares for her first child, remains determined to become a mom. "Miranda is willing to put her career on hold, " the friend says. "But Blake's just scared of change."

Miranda has even suggested doing a joint tour, so they can spend more time together, but “she suspects Blake wants to tour solo, so he can party with his buddies and flirt with women,” says the friend.
