Neil Diamond and Meryl Streep have been announced as two of the stars set to receive Kennedy Center Honors this year.
This year’s honorees were announced on Wednesday and include a broad range of talented A-list stars.
Neil and Meryl will be joined by singer Barbara Cook, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and saxophonist and composer Sonny Rollins at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts this year, the Los Angeles Times reports.
“This year, the Kennedy Center celebrates its 40th anniversary by selecting five extraordinary individuals whose collective artistry has contributed significantly to the cultural life of our nation and the world,” chairman David M. Rubenstein said.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will honor these talented artists at the 34th annual celebration on Dec. 4.
