The New Republic likely elicited many double-takes at the newsstand with their August cover featuring the Duchess of Cambridge sporting a set of yellowed, rotten teeth.

The Photoshopped image is a nod to the age-old joke about Great Britain's poor dental hygiene that's led to many wisecracks about "British smiles."
