NEWSNews Legend Walter Cronkite Dies at 92

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of TV news legend Walter Cronkite, who passed away tonight at his home in New York at the age of 92.
For two decades, from 1962, Cronkite anchored the CBS Evening News and became known as "the most trusted man in America." He was the first person to anchor a nightly 30-minute news program. His show-ending sign-off, "And that's the way it is," became his signature and remains one of TV's most memorable and quoted phrases.
Perhaps most memorable of all Cronkite's moments on TV is his oft-replayed announcement of the death of president John F. Kennedy in Nov. 1963.
In addition to being the recipient of a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University is named in his honor.
Cronkite, whose wife of 45 years Betsy passed away in 2005, leaves behind three children and their families. Our hearts go out to them in their time of grief.
