According to Entertainment Weekly sources, Office producers have reached out to Easbound & Down's Danny McBride and Flight of the Conchord's' Rhys Darby to see if they have an interest in joining the show.

Paul Lieberstein, executive producer of The Office, confirmed they're “having discussions”  about hiring a new salesman into Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch, but wouldn't say if that person would necessarily replace Steve's character Michael Scott.

HBO just renewed Eastbound & Down for a second season and his spokesperson said, “Danny is very happy on Eastbound & Down."

As for Rhys, he's a free agent and Flight of the Conchords is not returning for a third season.

Who would you like to see be hired for The Office? Or do you think they should promote from within?
