(Listen up, Pink!)

Always bring a picture. “We stylists are visual people,” says hair guru Paul Labrecque of the Paul Labrecque Salon and Spa who's styled the likes of Rihanna and Kate Hudson. “It’s the easiest way to communicate what you want.”  The Gisele waves and cut you think of may be very different than the ones your stylist recalls. Be vocal. It's easier to change direction earlier in the cut than once she's finished snipping. Tell the truth about your getting ready routine. Whether you always air dry your locks, hate using product, or are willing to spend hours styling and straightening, let the hair dresser know. This way they can create a cut that will actually work with your lifestyle and look great when you do it yourself instead of only looking good when you first leave the salon!
