This will come as no great shock to anyone, but Jackée Harry is a dream to talk to. She is funny, she is outrageous, and she seems like the most amazing aunt to have at every possible family function.
OK! News: Meet the 'girl' in Girl Meets World!
She chatted with OKMagazine.com about her new show, The First Family, as well as Girl Meets World and her other projects... in fact, we talked so much, we're saving some of it for tomorrow!
OK! Exclusive: Danielle Fishel talks about meeting her TV daughter on Girl Meets World.
OK!: What is your new show, The First Family, about?
Jackée Harry: It’s the First Family in the White House. I play the president’s sister-in-law. He’s married to my sister, so of course I hate him. laughs I take care of her kids, and I’m a little raunchy. I don’t like him, like most sister-in-laws. I’ve always hated my sisters' husbands—all of them! laughs Even though he’s the president of the United States, I don’t think he’ll amount to anything. She could do better.
OK!: Gladys Knight is on the show, right? Amazing!
JH: I know, right? It’s like, GLADYS! You say her name, and everyone knows her. She plays the president’s mother. Gladys plays tennis every day. She is a survivor. She’s been singing since the age of 9. That’s a long career, and a lot of heartbreak along the way.
OK!: What can you tell us about Girl Meets World?
JH: They swore me to secrecy! The FBI’s outside my house! It was a great experience. I’ve known Ben Savage and his brother Fred since he was doing the original Boy Meets World. We’re Twitter buddies. He has grown up to be the most wonderful man. I told his parents! He’s grounded. He’s cool, he loves music, he tells it like it is, and he’s very funny! You can be boring and still be rich, but he’s not. I haven’t seen the pilot yet, but the little girls were delightful. I tell you this: They’re going to be big stars! Remember I said it!

OK!: You're so busy. Any other projects we should know about?
JH: I’m a performer. There are some days when I can’t get my phone to ring, but I’m an It Girl this month. Modesty has no place for me! laughs But I know it can change in a heartbeat.
OK!: I hear you’re dying to be on Dancing with the Stars?
JH: I was! But then I saw that they got to lift you up, and I was like, I don’t know about this. No lifting, nuh uh. I dance very well, so I’m not very concerned. I know how to Latin dance very well. I’m from New York! I gotta have ruffles, baby, you know I gotta have ruffles. And a peplum. And a slit up the left side. And it’s gotta be orange!
