Pete Wentz is dedicated to Invisible Children, an organization helping the cause of displaced refugees in Uganda. The Fall Out Boy rocker spoke out about the cause last night at a T-shirt launch party hosted by Guess and Vanity Fair in Beverly Hills in support of  the organization, which shows documentaries about the refugees to raise awareness. "When I first saw the movie, I felt sad and I realized that I hadn't felt sad for something outside of myself or one of my friends in a really long time," Pete admitted to reporters.

The members of Fall Out Boy visited the East African nation to learn more about the country's struggles.

"We got involved and decided that we needed to actually go to Uganda to see what it was actually like on the ground there," Pete explains. "We planned to film a docu-style video and ended up doing a narrative that was a love story between two Ugandan teenagers."

Pete's life experiences have led him to change his world view. In turn, he's passing that philanthropic attitude on to his son, Bronx.

"I don't believe that where a child is born should determine their destiny in life," he says. "I want my son to understand that as well."
