Peter Facinelli Speaks Out About Divorce From Jennie Garth: "She'll Always Be In My Life"

It's been a rough couple of weeks for Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth, who after 11 years of marriage have decided to go their separate ways. And today, Peter co-hosted Live! with Kelly and spoke out about their split, saying that despite the fact that he filed for divorce, he still loves Jennie.

"I recently got divorced from my wife which has been very painful,” the Twilight Saga star told Kelly Ripa. “It was very painful especially after you’ve been together for 17 years. It’s even more painful when it’s played out in the media.”

But Peter says that both he and Jennie are focused on their daughters — Luca, 14, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 5 — right now and want to make sure they're not affected by all the drama surrounding the break up. "I've tried to stay really quiet about it for the sake of the kids,” he continued. “But Jen and I are doing well and she’ll always be in my life. And I love her," Peter added.

Jennie recently revealed that the girls are "doing great" and are excited about her reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country, which premieres on April 20 at 9 p.m. on CMT.
