Prince Harry has announced that he will be deployed to Afghanistan for a second time.
Four years ago, the now-27-year-old Brit, who is third in line for the throne, was sent to Afghanistan for 10 weeks but was released early after details of the secret mission were spilled.
Although Britain’s defense ministry did not comment on Harry’s potential deployment, Harry was overheard telling guests at the Sun Military Awards on Monday night that he is returning next year.
“I can’t wait to get out there,” Harry said, according to The Sun newspaper, adding that he's "looking forward" to putting his months of training "into practice."
Harry returned to Britain in November after two months of helicopter-pilot training in the U.S. He is currently completing his Apache-helicopter training at British Royal Air Force base Wattisham Station in eastern England.
