Prince William and his bride-to-be, Kate Middleton, reportedly visited Princess Diana‘s grave together before their wedding next Friday.
According to new reports (via the New York Post), Prince William and Kate held hands and went on an emotional visit to William’s mother’s grave.
The couple visited the tomb, which is located on an island at Diana’s family’s estate, Althorp, in central England.
William and Kate took a boat to the island and laid flowers at her grave.
Kate’s engagement ring was William’s mother’s diamond and sapphire ring, which William said was “my way of making sure my mother didn’t miss out.”
Princess Diana passed away in 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
According to the report, William also showed Kate where he and his brother, Prince Harry, planted trees at the ancient arboretum.
