Prince William and Kate Middleton have jumped right into their royal duties as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since they returned earlier this month from their honeymoon in Seychelles. First they spent time with President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, and now they are gearing up for their Canadian tour from June 30 to July 8!
The trip to Canada marks their first tour as a married and couple and Kate’s first time to Canada!
“Canadians hold the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in very high esteem and look forward to welcoming them as they embark on their first official Royal Tour as newlyweds,” said Prime Minister Stephen Harper in a news release, via The Calgary Herald. “The couple’s decision to visit Canada first is a testament to our country’s close relationship with the Crown and the Royal Family, and an opportunity for all Canadians to take pride in our traditions, history, and institutions.”
Following their Canadian jaunt, William, 28, and Kate, 29, will fly to L.A. on July 8 for a two-day stay.
