Earlier today, the Baltimore Ravens cut running back Ray Rice from the team, terminating his contract which he signed back in 2012. Why? Because a video surfaced on TMZ Sports of Ray punching his then girlfriend, now wife, Janay Palmer in an elevator. The video was first discovered back in February, when Ray was put on probation and fined, but NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decided that Ray needed a more severe punishment now, hence the firing.

Not only athletes but celebrities too have been tweeting about this incident. Seth Rogen, for one, called Ray a "piece of garbage" and his tweet got retweeted over 6,000 times so far, so clearly he's only stating the facts...

Clearly, as learned that one time with Solange, what happens in an elevator does not always stay in an elevator. We're glad Ray got the punishment he deserved for this terrible act of domestic violence.
