'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Star Sheree Whitfield Finally Awarded Backdated Child Support From Ex-Husband

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield has been battling against ex-husband Bob Whitfield for a large chunk of unpaid child support.

Fans of the show saw Sheree's angst and efforts in court to get the more than $81,000 due to her and she has now won her legal battle against the former NFL player - finally.

Bob had failed to make 38 monthly child support payments of $2,142 but now has to pay Sheree $75,000 in the next 21 days otherwise he will face repercussions from the judge.

The former Atlanta Falcons star, who signed a $30 million 6-year contract back in 2000, claimed that he didn't have the money to help support his two children.

In addition, Bob has agreed to pay up $1,000 a month for the next 12 months before going back to the original $2,142 payments.

This will be a welcome relief for Sheree who is not returning to the hit Bravo show for the upcoming season.

"After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave," she told Wetpaint. "The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness."

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on Sunday November 4 9/8c.
