Fans of the Bravo Housewives franchise might be sad to hear that ladies of D.C. won't be returning for another season. Looks like Real Housewives of D.C. just can't live up to the Real Housewives in New York, Atlanta, Orange County, Beverly Hills and Miami.

"We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise," Bravo exec Andy Cohen told The Washington Post via e-mail. "I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity."

The show premiered last August, but Bravo has decided to put to rest the "real lives" of socialite Mary Schmidt Amons, modeling/talent agent Lynda Erkiletian, realtor Stacie Scott Turner, British interior designer Cat Ommanney and White House party-crasher Michaele Salahi.

The D.C. leg of the franchise didn't fail to bring in ratings, rather was trumped by the success of the Beverly Hills version, which debuted last October.
