New court testimony shows Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice may have tried to fix her bankruptcy blues in a very bad way — by going on a $60,000 shopping spree!

In court on Monday, according to the New York Post, Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice tried to convince a Newark federal bankruptcy judge to stop the planned auction of the contents of their home on Aug. 22.

Teresa and her hubby's lawyer, James Kridel, had to try and explain the $60,000 shopping to Judge Morris Stern.

The spending was outlined in a court document filed with receipts and Kirden said he knew the documents showed "a dilemma" and could be viewed by the judge as "conspicuous consumption."

According to the New York Post, the receipts show that within days of filing bankruptcy, the Giudies, who owe creditors $11 million, went and spent $8,800 on curtains and $45,000 on other home furnishings.

The auction has been postponed until Oct. 3, but the judge refused to grant their request to stop it.
