Internet sensation Rebecca Black launched to stardom after a video of her debut single “Friday” went viral on YouTube. Some are likening the 13-year-old singer to singing sensation Justin Bieber for her pop sound, while others are dubbing her ditty “the worst song ever.” Regardless, Rebecca seems unfazed by the haters and excited about her newfound fame.

Rebecca turned to what is said to be her Twitter (the account is not verified official yet, but the feed seems to document the young singer’s life too closely to not be real) to keep fans updated on the success of her single.

Rebecca must have heard that comparison, but took it in the most literal context, not letting anyone get her down.

She also wrote that, “Yay! Friday is on Itunes top 100! Sweet dreams! xoxo.” Followed by, “Creeping up on the 80 spot on the itunes top 100! :) Get your copy today!” complete with a link to iTunes.

Covers of “Friday” have also launched on YouTube, some a serious take on the pop song and others parodying Rebecca’s debut.
