Here come the sex questions! Robert Pattinson sat down for a press conference for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 in Stockholm this week, and he was asked how he feels about Twilight promoting abstinence before marriage.

"I don't think it necessarily promotes it. In fact, I think the whole series almost begs you to break those rules!" Rob said with a laugh during the press conference (via YouTube). "And it's only because of Edward. I think it's kind of interesting because normally it comes from the other way around. "
"Maybe I'm completely generalizing, but it seems that traditionally the girls in movies are scared to lose their virginity and guys are like, 'Yeah, I'll do anything.' And it's funny because they turned the roles around," the Twilight heartthrob explained. "Edward is the one who is holding back, and in the third movie and Bella is already pushing for it — and then she really pushes for it in this one."

And no, Rob says he can't relate to Edward's feelings about abstaining!
“I’ve never been able to relate to that fear of sexuality or anything,” Rob said. “It’s funny that the whole first three movies present this view of sexuality — that it's something terrifying and such a big deal. But in the fourth one they finally have sex with devastating, devastating consequences… they create a demon child! I don’t even know what that’s trying to say… like ‘never, never have sex with anyone ever!’ ”
In fact, Rob thinks Twilight has done the opposite of promoting abstinence before marriage.
"If it is promoting abstinence, it's created an entire generation of young girls who are desperate to watch people have sex. It's created the opposite."
