Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell had a heart attack last week and is crediting an over-the-counter drug for saving her life. When she began experiencing symptoms, the 50-year-old remembered seeing Bayer aspirin TV ads and did Internet research on what to do.

"Thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally," Rosie wrote Monday on her blog. She added that it was a "miracle" that she survived. "They call this type of heart attack/the Widow Maker/i am lucky to be here," she continued.

In a statement, her rep Cindi Berger tells PEOPLE, "She is now home and resting comfortably. She is very, very lucky."

Unfortunately, this isn't the only health crisis she has had to deal with. Rosie revealed a few weeks ago that her fiancé Michelle Rounds was diagnosed with the rare condition of desmoid tumors, a disease that forms on the arms, legs, abdomen or chest and can invade surrounding tissues and organs.
