Not even a family medical issue could stop Prince William and wife Kate Middleton from partaking in their slated holiday plans as new reports reveal that after his grandfather suffered from a heart problem this weekend, the royal family will go on with their Christmas traditions.
“Sunday’s church service is going ahead as planned and we don’t anticipate changes to the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations,” Alisa Anderson, a rep for Buckingham Palace, explained via Radar Online.
While Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh and William’s granddad, was taken to a hospital in England on Saturday to have a stent placed in his heart, the 90-year-old is reportedly on the mend.
The rep added that Phillip, “had a good night and is in good spirits but he is eager to leave,” and return home to celebrate with his loved ones.
Merry Christmas, William and Kate!
