Russell Brand Keeps His Sense Of Humor & Love for Katy Perry After Arrest

Russell Brand isn't letting a little time spent in the slammer get him down, but that doesn't mean he'll now let photogs take pictures up the skirt of his fiancée, Katy Perry.

Russell was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday after getting into a physical altercation with a paparazzo, who he claims was trying to take an "upskirt" photo of her.

According to MTV News, Russell was interviewed by airport police and taken into custody for suspected battery.

Katy was quick to come to the defense of of her fiancé via Twitter saying, "If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me."

But now, Russell is ready to speak for himself.

"Thanks for your sweet messages of support," Russell Tweeted early Monday morning. "After the tips I picked up in chokey jail I'm an infinitely more proficient criminal."

And then added along with a Twitpic that appears to be taken with Katy, "Mum. Me and 'chico' my new homey from the joint. I've ... joined his 'club.' Send condoms."

Russell was charged with battery and released on $20,000 bail after the altercation and will have to got to court next month.

At least Russell and Katy kept their sense of humor and Katy was still able to enjoy her bachelorette party in Vegas after most likley being delayed from the flight there!
