Ryan Gosling Makes Directorial Debut With 'How to Catch a Monster' Starring Christina Hendricks

One of Hollywood's hottest actors is about to have a little less face time on the big screen as he makes his directorial debut. Ryan Gosling is scheduled to helm his screenplay How to Catch a Monster, which is a fantasy noir with aspects of suspense and a modern fairytale twist according to THR.

Ryan's Drive co-star Christina Hendricks will play the lead. She'll portray a single mom who is swept into a grim and grisly underworld, and her teenage son finds a secret path which leads to an underwater.

The 31-year-old is producing the film as well alongside Marc Platt and Adam Siegel of Marc Platt Productions and Michel Litvak and David Lancaster via Bold Films, which is financing the film.
