Salma Hayek may be terrified of snakes, but you won’t find her bugging out over creepy-crawlies, in fact, they’re her idea of a delicious snack.
“Look, I’m salivating,” Salma 43, told David Letterman on Monday night about eating grasshoppers. “They’re delicious.”
“These little ants fried are amazing – with a little guacamole,” the Mexican-born bombshell outlined on The Late Show. “And the worms … there are many different recipes for those. The little grasshoppers have a smoky flavor to them. It’s the way they cook them, and it’s really good.”
But don’t expect the mother-of-one to whip up an insect or two in her own home: “They’re not that easy to find,” she told Dave. “They’re delicatessen.”
Salma, who married French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault in 2009, quickly corrected herself saying, “Yeah, sorry. My French is getting a little better – [but] my English is getting a lot worse.”
