Amidst news reports last night about the sad passing of Steve Jobs, there was another headline making a splash and that was Sarah Palin's announcement that she will not run for president next year. The former Alaska governor-turned-media-star apologized on Fox "to those who are disappointed."
“I believe I can be an effective voice in some positive change,” said the author of Going Rogue: An American Life. “You don’t need a title to make a difference in this country: I’m living proof of that.”
According to RadarOnline, during the interview with Greta Van Susteren, Sarah indicated she aims to see that President Obama is not re-elected and that more conservatives are elected into the House of Representatives.

Considering the names swirling around the Republication nomination include former Governor Mitt Romney, Governor Rick Perry and businessman Herman Cain, she also mentioned "there is no one perfect candidate."

Earlier in the day yesterday Sarah issued an official statement declaring she won't run for the nation's highest office. "I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office -- from the nation's governors to congressional seats and the presidency."

She added, "I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for president where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables."
