'Saved By the Bell's' Dustin Diamond Comments on Lark Voorhies Battling Bipolar Disorder

After hearing the news that actress Lark Voorhies is battling a mental disorder, Saved By the Bell co-star Dustin Diamond is rallying behind her.

The actress who played spunky Lisa Turtle on the '90s sitcom was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, as revealed by her mother, who suggested the disorder was caused by various traumatic incidents in her life.

The former Screech told People there was a change in his pal back in 2003 when they recorded commentary for their show's box set.

Noting that she stared off into space, he said, "I was always used to playing off of her and looking into her eyes. When I saw her at the commentary, it wasn't the Lark I knew."

Then, when they reunited last year for the indie film Little Creeps, Dustin recalled that Lark seemed unpredictable and caused a rift on the set. "Part of me is putting it out of my mind and not thinking about it, but the other part is that of concern. Man, I hope she's all right."
