Selena Gomez's health scare sounds a little bit more serious than just a case of eating too much junk food. The 18-year-old beauty revealed to Ryan Seacrest today that she had to have a blood transfusion during her hospitalization.

“I was low in iron,” Selena explained On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday. “Because I eat a lot of pastas, I don’t eat enough protein. I had to get a blood transfusion for more iron, it was that bad and I was just dehydrated.”

Selena reassured her fans that she's feel much better now, but her life hasn't been completely without scares.

The singer was shocked when she heard her boyfriend Justin Bieber was "attacked" outside of Macy's in NYC during the launch of his new fragrance.

“I was working when I found out," Selena explained. "Because I found out through people, I guess it went everywhere because it was a public thing. So, I found out immediately while I was working which made it even worse, because I couldn’t be there."

Luckily, it turned out to be a big misunderstanding.

Another misunderstanding is that Selena won't wear Justin's fragrance "Someday" because his mother wears it.

"No, I think it actually smells very good," she said. "Everybody should definitely check it out, it smells beautiful.”
