Sherri Shepherd has had a rough go of it recently between her bitter split and custody battle with Lamar Sally and announcing she will be leaving her gig on The View. So which of her life shakeups caused the actress/host to break down on the daytime talker today?
Sherri, who has been a panelist on The View for seven years, began to cry as she discussed leaving the high-profile program.
“Seven in the Bible is the number of God’s completion. And I’ve been here seven years and my time at The View is complete,” she said.
While news of her upcoming departure surprised fans, Sherri revealed her inner circle as well as the show’s producers already knew she intended to leave after this season but didn’t want to detract from Barbara Walters’ retirement from the show.
So what’s next for Sherri and her bud Jenny McCarthy, who is also leaving The View? Both women teased they will announce their next projects in the coming weeks.
