The news of Sherri Shepherd's divorce last month was a total bummer. She had often spoken out about her love and devotion to her husband, so the split came as a major shock. As did the details that she was tired of his unemployment, while she was working her butt off with multiple jobs. Now the co-host of The View is speaking out about the break-up.

She chatted philosophically with E! News. "I know that you cannot grow without pain. Growth is hard and growth is a struggle, and it hurts and you've got to go through that in order to grow or you stay the same," she said. "And also, I feel as long as you can get up and look up, you have another chance and another chance to make things right."

The struggle is set to continue, as her husband Lamar Sally has already requested custody of their unborn baby, due to a surrogate. Meanwhile, her ex-husband Jeff Tarpley is also seeking full custody of their son Jeffrey, accusing Sherri of neglect. Wow. Tough times indeed.
