When Shia LaBeouf signed on to star in Lars von Trier's The Nymphomaniac, he knew the controversial director might ask him to do some, well... controversial things. And wow, did he ever!

In an interview with MTV News, Shia says, “There’s a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, we’re all doing it for real,” LaBeouf reveals during an interview with MTV. “And everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images, but other than that, everything is happening.”
Um, what? That seems extreme, to say the very least. It is reported that Shia plays one of the love interests of Charlotte Gainsbourg's character. We hope they got along when the cameras weren't rolling.
“Lars is very dangerous, you know. He’s like the most dangerous dude that I’ve ever showed up for,” he says. “I’m terrified. I’m so terrified.”

The Nymphomaniac is, predictably, an indie film; Shia recently blasted the politics surrounding major blockbusters, saying, "There's no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist, The studios give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your a** and chase you around for five months."
