As Shia LaBeouf heads to Cannes to premiere his next movie, Lawless, the actor's going to debut his very own short film, too!

Shia directed Howard Cantour.com and as indicated by The Huffington Post, it is set to premiere during Critics Week at the Cannes Film Festival. It's been described as his "own quirky critique of film critics."
This isn't the actor's first directorial debut; after all, Shia directed a short film last year with Kid Cudi called Maniac and also directed the hip-hop artist's video for "Marijuana." It sounds like it'll be interesting having Shia back at Cannes! Two years ago he panned his own film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

"I think the audience is pretty intelligent. I think they know when you've made….And I think if you don't acknowledge it, then why do they trust you the next time you're promoting a movie."
At the time, he added, "We [Harrison Ford and Shia] had major discussions. He wasn't happy with it either. Look, the movie could have been updated. There was a reason it wasn't universally accepted."
Hopefully he does a better job promoting his movie this time around!
