While all eyes were on surfboards at last night's Teen Choice Awards, Jordin Sparks dished about her summer movie, Sparkle.
Although it's Jordin's first tryst at making a splash on the silver screen, the movie will probably be most known for being Whitney Houston's last film instead of Jordin's first.
The American Idol alum told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's really bittersweet because I got to have that experience with her and now, she's not here to see the final product. But she is seeing it. She's up there watching."

Plus, it sounds like Jordin wants to promote the movie as best she can to honor the late Grammy winner. "This was her baby," she explained. "It was huge for her, so now I'm trying to represent it as best I can."
Sparkle will open in theaters nationwide on August 17.
