Sugarland Performs First Show Post-Tragedy & Asks For Moment of Silence

In their first performance since the tragedy last week that took five lives in Indiana, Sugarland took to the stage in Albuquerque, N.M. At the Hard Rock Pavilion they created a poignant moment when they asked for a moment of silence.

According to RadarOnline, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush took a moment of silence for their injured fans and "the beautiful lives that were lost." Their instruments were also lost in the tragedy as the duo played for the crowd with new instruments.

Earlier in the week they explained on their website, "This incredible machine is more than a tour and more than a set." Looking to music for strength, they indicated, "We have always celebrated music as a healer."

Words, too may provide comfort for the families who lost loved ones at the state fair. They added, "Our road family experienced its traumas together.
